Government is planning to increase Petroleum levy as per IMF demands.
The government is planning to increase the petroleum levy as per demands of IMF. According to resources government have to increase the levy to rightly address the IMF conditions.
Sources revealed that it is expected that petroleum levy will reach at a target of 49 billion rupees in the running year. The petroleum levy target for this year is 869 billion rupees and it is expected that this number will increase by 918 billion rupees during this year.
Sources further predicted that 49 billion rupee more tax will be implemented and if government meet this tax target then they will be targeting a tax of 1065 billion rupees in the coming year.
